Review:

This piece, without a doubt, will make a major contribution to that [alto saxophone] literature. This three-movement work (fast-slow-fast) demonstrates a keen knowledge of the contemporary harmonic language, a beautiful sense of the saxophone’s range and the different qualities possessed by its registers, all connected by a forward motion that keeps the piece moving and makes the listener want more… Once again, Steve Cohen has made a great addition to the saxophone repertoire, giving us a piece that can just as easily become the favorite of a professional or a student.
